Overview
In this Online Learning Event, Linda will explore various aspects of attachment and its application in therapy. Beginning with a concise overview of the different patterns of attachment, this Online Learning Event will provide a foundation for understanding the dynamics that underlie relationships. Linda will also present her model of Attachment-Informed Therapy, offering a framework that integrates attachment theory into clinical practice. We will delve into the significant role of Intergenerational Narrative in contributing to the therapeutic goals. We will examine how narrative style can vary based on specific patterns of attachment, allowing participants to gain insights into tailoring their approach accordingly. To enhance experiential learning, there will be opportunities for participants to engage in reflective exercises, exploring specific questions that deepen their understanding and application of the material covered. By the end of this webinar, participants will have a greater understanding of attachment theory, its therapeutic implications and practical tools to integrate into their practice.

Speaker Biography
Linda Cundy is an attachment-based psychoanalytic psychotherapist in private practice in North London. She has twenty-five years’ experience of providing training days and courses and has curated, contributed to and edited four books to date: Love in the Age of the Internet: Attachment in the Digital Era (Karnac, 2015); Anxiously Attached: Understanding and Working with Preoccupied Attachment (2017, Karnac); and Attachment and the Defence Against Intimacy: Understanding and Working with Avoidant Attachment, Self-Hatred and Shame (2018, Routledge). Her most recent book is Attachment, Relationships and Food: From Cradle to Kitchen (2021, Routledge). Linda is the Attachment Theory Consultant to the Bowlby Centre.
