- Include hypo-states in your perception of yourself and of others
- See hypo-states (giving up) as normal reactions and survival strategies side by side with hyper-states (tensing up)
- Understand the principle of dosing as a key component in approaching hypo-states
- Use a number of low-dosed muscle-activations to relate to and gently awaken parts of the body impacted by hypo-states
- Differentiate between hypo-response in muscles and hypo-arousal in the ANS
- Understand the difference between staying present in relation to hypo-states compared to polarising to them or being pulled into them
- Be curious about what emerges when including and awakening hypo-response
- Understand how modification of hypo-response can be part of trauma-therapeutic work

Speaker Biography
Merete Holm Brantbjerg is a psychomotor-trainer and co-creator of Bodynamic Analysis from 1985-2003. From 2003 till now, she has developed “Relational Trauma Therapy” together with Kolbjørn Vårdal combining psychomotor and neurocentric skill training and systems oriented group-work. The goal of the approach is to establish systems in which mutual regulation of what has been held in dissociation can happen. Merete has specialised in developing methodology aimed at normalising, including and regulating hypo-states. She leads trainings and workshops in Denmark, and internationally online. She lives in Copenhagen, Denmark.
